Washington Trademark Search | Secretary of State

The Washington trademark search is used to examine active and expired trademarks registered with the Secretary of State. Trademarks are defined as any word, name, symbol, or device implemented by a business owner to distinguish their brand of goods from others.[1]

Once approved, a trademark’s registration remains valid for 5 years. Registration can be renewed for 5-year terms after that as long as a renewal form is filed within six months of the expiration date.[2]

Trademark Search

Visit www.ccfs.sos.wa.gov/ and scroll down to the bottom of the page.

2. Perform Search

Find trademarks by providing a registration number, owner name, trademark name/description keywords, or UBI number.
