3. Publicly Available Information

In addition to the Personal Information collected by our Services as detailed above, we also collect Publicly Available Information or Public Data from various government sources — including Secretary of State and equivalent state business registries, Uniform Commercial Code (UCC) filing offices, federal and state court systems, and the United States Patent and Trademark Office — delivered to us directly or through licensed data providers who source from those government records, in order to provide our products and services, including reports, via our website. Publicly Available Information includes information that is lawfully made available from federal, state, or local government records and information that we reasonably believe is made available to the general public.

We acquire and aggregate this information, which may pertain to individuals — such as officers, directors, members, organizers, incorporators, and registered agents of business entities — including both users and non-users of the Site, as that information appears in official government records. We do not purchase private, non-public personal information for resale, and we do not enrich or supplement public records with commercially sourced contact data or other non-governmental personal information. We also do not combine any Personal Information — including automatically collected usage and traffic information and transactional data — that we collect directly from users of the website within the reports, products, and services that we provide.

To request suppression of records associated with you from our search results and reports, email us at support@businessregistry.com with the subject line “Privacy Request — Record Suppression.” So that we can locate and act on the correct record, please include: your full name as it appears in the record; the name of the business entity the record relates to; the state; the report or record number, if you have it; and a statement that you are the individual the record concerns or an agent authorized to act on their behalf. We will reply to the email address you write from in order to verify your request. Suppression removes records from display through our Services only; it does not remove the underlying records from the government sources that publish them. Individuals entitled to address confidentiality under applicable law — including judges, law enforcement officers, and other covered persons under statutes such as New Jersey’s Daniel’s Law and participants in state address confidentiality programs — may request removal of protected information through the same channels, and we prioritize such requests and process them within the timeframes required by applicable law.

4. Interactive Services

The Services may provide interactive features, including chat, chat bot, or managed chat with an option to communicate with our customer service team. Any chat bot or managed chat feature may be powered by artificial intelligence.

By accessing and using any of these features, you agree that we may record and retain a transcript of all communications with you via these interactive tools, and/or may record or recreate your activity while using the Services, in order to provide services, enhance your Services experience, and for quality and verification purposes. We may work with trusted service providers to analyze, store, and/or use this data on our behalf. Your use of any of these tools or of our Services is governed by this section, this Privacy Policy, and our Terms of Use.

You understand that by selecting to use any of these features, you acknowledge that your information may be processed by AI. We will only use your chat conversations to monitor performance, troubleshoot problems, diagnose bugs, prevent abuse, and provide and improve our Services.

5. Information Sharing or Disclosure

7. Geographic Location of Data Storage and Processing

The Site is operated in the United States. Please be aware that the Site collects Personal Information and processes and stores that Personal Information in databases located in the United States. If you are visiting the Site from a country outside the United States, you should be aware that the data protection laws of the United States may not be as comprehensive as those in your own country. By visiting the Site and submitting any Personal Information, you consent to the transfer of such Personal Information to, and its processing in, the United States.

8. The Length of Time That Your Personal Information Is Kept by Us

We will retain your Personal Information for as long as needed to provide you the Site and the Services, and as necessary to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our policies and agreements. In accordance with our routine record keeping, we may delete certain records that contain Personal Information you have submitted to us, including records associated with accounts inactive for twelve (12) or more consecutive months, as described in our Terms. Universal Opt-Outs. We receive and respond to the Global Privacy Control (GPC) browser opt-out signal. We will turn off the disclosure of your data to third-party tracking technologies for personalized advertising if we receive a GPC signal from you when you visit our Site.

13. Exercising Your Data Subject Rights

14. Do Not Track Signals

We do not support “Do Not Track.” Do Not Track is a preference you can set in your web browser to inform websites that you do not want to be tracked. You can enable or disable Do Not Track by visiting the Preferences or Settings page of your web browser. Do Not Track is different from Global Privacy Control (“GPC”), which may notify websites of consumers’ privacy preferences regarding the sale or sharing of Personal Information; we respond to GPC signals as described in Sections 2.E and 11.

15. Children’s Personal Information

The Site is not intended for use by persons under the age of 18. We do not knowingly solicit, collect, maintain, or disclose any Personal Information from children under the age of 18. If we become aware that a user is under eighteen (18) (or a higher age threshold where applicable) and has provided us with Personal Information, we will take steps to comply with any applicable legal requirement to remove such Personal Information.
