The North Carolina UCC search is an online tool used to look up whether an organization or individual has any liens or security interests on their personal property. The NC Secretary of State keeps a public record of all UCC financing statements. Through a free online search or by filing a UCC11 Information Request online, users can view the associated filings of any debtor in the system.

To perform this search, enter the name of the Organization or the Individual (see image). There’s the option to select either the Printable view or to Download Results directly in PDF format.
When ready, click Search.

A search of UCC filings can also be carried out using the name and address of an organization or individual (see image). If Printable view or neither checkbox was selected on the previous page, a list of UCC records should appear featuring the name, dates, or number entered on the previous webpage. If no results appear, it means there are no filings that match the search data entered. If Download Results(PDF) was used, the results should download automatically.
